Meeting minutes without a bot in the call — even on site.

Lalela records site meetings, design reviews and calls on your Mac, transcribes them on the device, and turns them into minutes and action items. Mac or iPhone, or start in your browser.

Sound familiar?

No signal on site

Recording, transcription, speaker separation and search all work offline on the Mac. Download a local AI model once and summaries work offline too.

AI mangles the jargon

The custom dictionary takes your project names, suppliers and technical terms, with pronunciation hints, and biases the transcriber toward them.

Action items vanish after the meeting

Lalela pulls the action items out of the transcript; in a shared folder, the tasks show up for the whole team. Workflows turn a transcript into minutes, an email or a risk log.

Questions

Does it work without a connection?

Yes, on the Mac. Record, transcribe, separate speakers and search with Wi-Fi off. With a downloaded local model you can summarise and chat offline too. Sync and the free AI allowance need a connection.

I'm on Windows. Can I use it?

Yes. The Windows app (Windows 10 or 11, x64) is free on the Microsoft Store: it records your mic and your PC's audio and transcribes on the device. A few Mac features (Meeting Copilot, meeting auto-detect, screen capture) aren't on Windows yet. You can also record in the browser with no install.

What does it cost?

It's free to download and use. Recording, on-device transcription and search have no caps. Signing in adds a free monthly AI allowance for summaries and chat. No card needed.

Do I need permission to record a meeting?

Laws vary, and many places require the consent of everyone recorded. Lalela shows a clear recording indicator and makes pausing, stopping and deleting easy, but consent is your responsibility. When in doubt, tell people you're taking notes and ask.

Does my audio leave the device?

On the Mac, by default, no: transcription runs on the device and the audio is discarded. Cloud transcription is optional (it's the default on iPhone): the audio goes to private storage, is transcribed, and is deleted straight after.
